Long Sands Tynemouth Bead
Long Sands is a sandy beach in Tynemouth. It is popular all year round for family days out, bathing, beach sports and surfing; it has held the national surfing championships. The beach has an adjacent park, aquarium, museum and shops.
Rolling waves and the sandy beach inspires our pretty Long sands bead. It is a gravity swirl bead, which mixes different coloured glass at a very high temperature, and they then begin to mix together. The bead uses layers of ivory and amber glass portraying the sand and a speciality silver glass that adds blues and a shimmer representing the sun reflecting on the sea.
