Lusty Glaze Bead
This fabulous little cliff lined cove is the most northerly of Newquays beaches. It has been transformed over the years after starting life as a working mine to a beautiful beach resort. Tracey Griffiths is the beaches current owner and has made this amazing beach a place for everyone to enjoy. Enjoy a drink whilst watching the sun go down or for the more adventurous, try a bit of abseiling! It gets some good waves here too, best on a rising tide.
We used ivory glass as the base of our Lusty Glaze bead to represent the gorgeous white sands of this enclosed bay. The bead is then wrapped with a stringer of purple then turquoise glass twisted together in a wave, inspired by the famous night surf contests held here.
